Antibody-dependent assays are undoubtedly the most effective protein biomarker detection technology available today. Through decades of efforts, researchers have made important breakthroughs in sensitivity, multiple detection capabilities, and detection specificity, making this technology a significant advance. The ultra-high detection sensitivity represented by single-molecule detection technology, and the multi-index detection technology represented by liquid suspension chip, respectively, extend the depth and breadth of the application of biomarkers. The wide dynamic range detection capabilities for biological fluid samples allow these technologies to open up a wide range of applications in basic, translational medicine and clinical research applications. Advances in technology have determined the potential of biomarkers, and biomarkers will make an increasingly important contribution to human health and well-being.
