    1、供足饮水 

    清洁充足的饮水是必须保证的，小苏打、人工盐等适量添加在水中会起到不错的效果。天气寒冷的时候要饮用温水。沙或冰块可不能出现在牛的饮用水中，禁止暴饮和饮用污染水。 

    2、限制运动

    想要给牛催肥，就要限制牛的运动，最好使用短绳固定牛只在瘦牛催肥期间。降低牛的能量消耗，注意牛的清洁卫生。 

    3、饲料配好 

    配制饲料不但要做到营养充足全面，而且还要做到适口性好，容易消化吸收。例如玉米、麸皮、大豆等精饲料最好闷熟或烫熟饲喂，秸杆类饲料最好进行氨化或者微贮处理，青绿饲料则要求鲜嫩、干净，切铡的长度要适中，特别是冬季要补饲适量的青绿饲料或者青贮饲料。补饲甘薯等块根类饲料时一定要洗净、切碎。

 

    4、矫正体质

    5、合理分组 

    将购进的瘦牛的按年龄、性别或营养状况等指标进行分组饲养，这样不但有利于管理，还有利于及时调整饲料配方，有利于总体工作。 

    6、预防疾病 

    预防疾病。疾病是养殖业的大敌。瘦牛由于体质差，加之运动量减少极易患病。因此，要根据牛的消化、饮食、精神等变化适时调整日粮，强化饲养管理，及时清除粪便，严格进行定期消毒，防止疾病发生。 

    7、适时出栏

    9、建好圈舍 

    一个安静、舒适、清洁的生活环境是牛最喜欢的。冬季要做到防寒保暖，没有贼风；夏季能防署降温，没有蚊蝇，尽量减少应激反应。 

    10、选准对象 

    瘦牛催肥能否成功就要看这一步。瘦牛是否能够催肥的潜力很重要，因劳役繁重、饲料质量低劣、饲养管理不善导致牛身体瘦弱的牛，可以当做催肥的理想对象。其次便是那些有残疾催肥效果不会受到影响的瘦牛，但前提是，市场价较低的时候可以选择。龄过大或顽固性腹泻等疾病太多的牛就不用考虑了，衰弱的体质会让瘦弱的牛难以催肥。
