Ding Wei analyzed that there are four key pain points in medical services:

In response to these four outstanding pain points, Tencent tried to solve the problem with a targeted solution. This includes establishing a medical science information platform, building an Internet + medical health ecosystem, improving the infrastructure of smart hospitals, and researching AI to solve medical problems.

Ding Wei pointed out that the goal of Tencent's medical health is "safe, efficient, intelligent and healthy." “Safety is the cornerstone, efficiency is the way, wisdom is the vision, and health is the goal. What we need to do is to help medical institutions improve the safety of services and provide more humane and comprehensive medical and health services for people's livelihood.”

Ding Wei also mentioned that General Secretary Xi Jinping emphasized in the ninth collective study of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee: strengthen leadership, plan well, clarify tasks, lay a solid foundation, and promote the healthy development of China's new generation of artificial intelligence. Speaking of the breakthrough point of the future Tencent medical health business, Ding Wei revealed that it will focus on three core competencies and two key disciplines: one is the construction of infrastructure including electronic health card and medical insurance payment, and the other is professional and efficient Tencent medical service.
