Philips, Siemens and Mindray products won the 2016 German Red Dot Award

On July 4th, one of the international awards in the design world, the German Red Dot Award, was officially unveiled.

The Red Dot Award was created in 1955 by the German Design Association Design Zentrum Nordrhein Westfalen, and is listed as an International Design Award with the US IDEA Award and the German IF Award. The Red Dot Awards attract thousands or tens of thousands of entries from dozens of countries every year.

In the award setting, the red dot award is divided into: design product award, design communication award, design concept award. Product awards are awarded to mature products that can be sold, posters, advertisements, etc., and concept awards are aimed at designers. Among them, the product award is the most important.

The Red Dot Design Product Awards are divided into three levels, from high to low: “best of the best”, “Honourable Mention”, “red dot” (red dot).

In 2015, in the field of life sciences and medical treatment , about 90 products in the world received the Red Dot Design Product Award, of which only 3 were awarded the “Supreme Award” and 13 were awarded the “Excellence Award”. "Red Dot Award".

This year (2016), according to the Red Dot Award official website data, in the field of life sciences and medical treatment, a total of 86 products received the Red Dot Design Product Award, of which only 2 of the "Supreme Awards" were awarded, and the "Excellence Award" was obtained. Compared with last year, the global medical technology company's record this year is significantly worse.
