It is the result of the government department's risk assessment based on experts, the legislation made, the revision of standards, and the decision to order the food to be taken off the shelf. The so-called risk communication is that the government departments inform the media, the public, food producers and operators, consumer rights protection organizations and other objects about the results of risk assessment and risk management decisions. At present, China has established a food safety risk monitoring system covering 31 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities, and completed the construction of a food safety risk assessment system.

In response to the food risk exchange, Chen Junshi suggested that governments at all levels set up risk communication departments to provide personnel and financial support and strengthen communication with the media so that experts’ risk assessment information is accurately communicated to the media and the public, eliminating experts and the public.
