China has cultivated green-brooded turtles for decades, and no less than 100 kinds of breeding techniques have been developed. It has now been developed that only a qualified product with a hair length of more than 5 cm can be successfully cultivated in only 4 to 5 months. Now it is representative. The experience of the Leading Animal Farm in Yuanhua Town, Haining City, Zhejiang Province is as follows:
1. Green turtles cultivating
(1) Choose a vigorous, lively, disease-free, intact crustacean full-throated yellow-throated turtle, first rub the rough surface of the yellow-throated turtle turtle back with an emery cloth, wash it with clean water, and put it into a small cylinder or a goldfish tank. Turtle back more than 3 cm, the water should not be less.
(2) Basal algae are harvested from stones in rivers and streams or from under the hull, and are dropped into a turtle tank with a hammer to keep the water green.
(3) After putting the algae into the turtle tank, change the water every few days to keep the water clean. And add a small amount of nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium fertilizers and vitamins, cytokinin, to promote the germination, proliferation of bryophytes, increase parasitic density. Every 7 days, turtle-friendly oysters, small fish, shrimp, and legumes are added to make the turtle grow robustly.
(4) Turtle tanks are exposed to sunlight, about 2 hours a day, avoiding the scorching sun at noon, such as indoor breeding fluorescent lamps available to supplement light. The water temperature can be maintained at 8 to 35°C, but 18 to 28°C is the best. Stay above 0°C in winter. In case of a temperature of 8 °C, cover the turtle tank with warmth to prevent it from freezing. In the summer, the temperature of the water should be controlled within 37°C to prevent discoloration of the basement algae.
After being cultured by the above method, the turtle will grow a short “green hair†(ie, 8 days at the fastest), which is a genus of viscosa. Turtle's green hair, up to 9 cm in length. Generally 5 cm long is a qualified product.
In addition, turtles are afraid of toxic substances and strong acid and alkaline substances, and they should avoid touching these items during breeding.
2. Export Green Turtle Grade and Requirements
(1) Since the 3rd month of breeding, select the green half-green turtle that is covered with green-green “plush†and feed it in the cylinder, 1 cylinder and 1 turtle. Feed a total of 5-7 grams of animal feed each morning and evening. Change the water every 2 to 3 days to keep the water fresh; use a comb to comb the green hair once a week to make it neat and orderly. After 3 months of feeding, the body is sturdy, and the limbs are strong and vigorous.
(2) Export of commercial turtles, the bigger the better. More than 200 grams, a hair length of 5 cm or more is a primary product; 500 grams or more, a hair length of 15 cm or more is a premium product. Yellow-throated turtles and four-eyed turtles were the authentic commodities, followed by the money turtle mother turtle and the flat chested turtle. Ordinary turtles have no export value and are mainly sold domestically.
(3) Packaging methods. Wrap the green hair in the middle of the turtle's back, and place the turtle in a cloth bag, or in a plastic box and then in a wooden box, 20 boxes. During the transportation, the inside of the box can be kept moist and the long-distance transportation is safe.
Green turtle breeding technology
