It is highly desirable to pick the loofah in advance. The traditional method of topping is to remove the heart after the main vine grows 13-15 leaves. Generally, after harvesting 3-4 fruits, the stalk is weak, the reproductive growth is excessive and the vegetative growth is poor. Therefore, it is necessary to use the empty tree to raise the vines, thus ensuring the balance between vegetative growth and reproductive growth.
