Anascorp is an immune F(ab')2 (horsema) injection made from scorpion venom by scorpion venom. Anascorp may cause early or delayed allergic reactions in horse protein-sensitive people. Anascorp's production process includes reducing the chance of allergic reactions and reducing the risk of transmitting viruses that may be present in plasma.

Anascorp's effectiveness is based on a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial involving 15 children with signs of scorpion stasis injury to the nervous system. Eight children with Anascorp had their symptoms resolved within four hours of treatment, compared with only one of the seven children receiving placebo. The most common side effects were vomiting, fever, rash, nausea, itching, headaches, runny nose and muscle pain.
